Advertising:
A New UK Regulatory Body

The Committee For Legitimate Ethical Advertising Regulation

Currently, numerous loopholes and laws protect malicious commercial entities and selfish corporate interests, allowing companies to mislead the public, manipulate information, use self-funded research to justify their existence, and employ psychological tactics to encourage mass consumerism.

Through C.L.E.A.R., we will introduce tighter regulations to prevent companies from promoting products or services that are harmful, low-quality, disposable, made of environmentally damaging materials, contain toxic substances, display misleading labelling, or rely on child labor.

If a business wishes to utilise mainstream media to advertise in the UK, they will be required to present superior, planet-friendly products and services that meet certain criteria, such as:

  • The product or service is necessary.

  • The product/service is environmentally sound.

  • The product/service cannot be made to a higher standard or achieve a longer lifespan using the technology and resources currently available.

  • The product/service has key differences from those already on the market.

One Set Of Rules Applicable To Every Business

Large corporations and multinationals have long used their influence to pressure governments and regulatory bodies into permitting unethical practices. We will end this corporatocracy by enforcing new legislation uniformly, regardless of a company's size, reputation, or value. This will create an even playing field and fair competition for businesses of all sizes.

This approach aligns with recent initiatives, such as the European Union's proposed customs reforms to hold e-commerce platforms accountable for unsafe or illegal products sold online. By implementing these measures, we aim to foster a fair and transparent market that prioritises consumer protection and environmental sustainability.
